It’s Tune Tuesday! Fifteen years ago, today the #1 Billboard Hot 100 song was Shake Ya Tailfeather from the movie Bad Boys II.

This is another song that, I confess, I’ve never heard before. And, I’ve never seen Bad Boys II, either. In 2003, I had recently moved to Texas and I was busy learning a new job. I didn’t see many movies that year and, apparently, I stopped listening to mainstream radio. ~Victoria

The #1 Billboard Top 40 song was Where Is The Love? Nope. Not this one, either… ~Victoria

The #1 Billboard Country song was It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere. FINALLY, a song I’ve heard! ~Victoria

You are ahead of me. I was putting these up and I was thinking “I haven’t a CLUE about these songs”. The Alan Jackson song…I probably heard it five years after IT’S release. But, at least I heard it. LOL!

I know all of the performers, but not one of these songs. I mostly stopped listening to modern music by the early 90s, with the notable exception of film scores. Every now and again, one sneaks in, but mostly I just go backwards in any genre.

Yeah. I’d “heard” of the people but, hadn’t heard their stuff…with the exception of Alan Jackson & Jimmy Buffet. Jimmy Buffet was mainstream Top 40 at one time. I actually got sick of the overplaying of “Margaritaville”. Alan Jackson…I discovered him via friends.

That’s kind of how I discovered Alan Jackson. My mom latched on somewhere, so I got hit with him secondhand on a visit. lol

Now I feel old. Would these songs be considered “Oldies but Goodies”? I think they would!

I can see Jimmy Buffet & Alan Jackson being “oldies”. The others? I’d never heard their music so…they are “newies” to me. Heh.

I knew I was “old” when AC/DC’s Back In Black was considered “Classic Rock”. 🤔🙄😖

You know how old you are by P.Diddy’s nicknames. He’s changed it so many times throughout the years.

Heh. Good point. I am OLD then. I remember the days BEFORE “Puffy” even showed up.
