I’m in love Vic! I would LOVE an old truck like that. I love older trucks just to cruise around with and they are very useful. Not a computer chip in the damn thing!!!

Exactly. My paternal GPs had a 1970 black Chevy pick-up with the chain hooks on the tailgate and a white top. It was a C-10 stepside with white lettering on the back and a wooden bed but, over the years, it rotted out. My younger cousin wanted that thing SO bad but, they wound up selling it before he was old enough to drive. You could sit inside the engine compartment, there was so much room. They kept snow tires on it and it was nearly too heavy for its own breaks. I remember riding in it with my dad and him standing on the brakes, trying to get it to stop. “Whoa, dammit! Whoa, you big son of a bitch!” He always joked that the floor needed holes so he could put his feet down like the Flintstones or, the damn thing needed an anchor to throw out. It always smelled like gasoline.

I didn’t become a truck person until I was with my first ex-husband. He had a 1979 GMC with three in the tree.

Whoa, you big son of a bitch!” LOL…
I love them because you don’t have to keep them spotless…it’s an old truck and it’s there to work and enjoy. They looks so much cooler than modern ones also. They are easy to work on with plenty of room! That is one of the great things about them also.

I have a friend who barters shit all of the time with his friend…I almost got a 66 Dodge truck one time…he is always on the look out for one.

I’m kinda like that with my Frontier. I rarely wash it or vacuum it out. It’s a truck…not a sports car.

A lot of folks get older trucks and turn them into low riders with mag wheels. Ever watch “Fast ‘N Loud” or “Counting Cars?”

Yea I’ve seen Counting Cars…I know I’m weird but I cringe when they mess up one of those trucks…at least in my eyes…I hate that lettering style also…but I just like the truck…not on the ground where you hit a dime on the road and it would feel like a speed bump.

I cringe, too. I’d much rather see a rebuild/refurbish back to stock. No. I don’t want flames in the paint and I sure as hell don’t want a fuzzy dashboard.

              Lettering style?

Oh they always use that gothic style of lettering…I never liked it for some reason but it’s just a personal preference…I dropped out last night lol
