Eh. Early days of computers… I remember being excited about getting email at work. Prior to that, it was just a messaging system thru the DMV mainframe.
My first taste of email was when my agency contracted with the Netscape folks to build an email/browser system for NCDOT. We had proprietary DOT internal Netscape browsers, with a spinning DOT symbol. It was cool.
