First of all Cavett was the best talk show person around…yea better than Carson interviewing people…he didn’t interview…he had a conversation with his guests. I loved what he did at around 1:30…he got that from a Marx Brothers movie. Harpo was friends with Dali also. Dali gave Harpo a harp made of spoons and barbed wire. I was struggling to understand what he was saying.
Cavett always had a twinkle in his eye. He is still alive, I just found out.
Oh yea he is still alive and active. I see him on off the beaten path talk shows…He can be a bit of a name dropper but I like the guy…he was the best.
I find Dali an acquired taste … I think I’m like 20 beers behind. I do enjoy Cavett’s personable interview style/
He was a weird dude. I couldn’t understand a thing he said in that clip.

I had to look him up to see if he was, indeed, still around.
Judging by my first comment, Dali understood what Cavett did. It’s a Marx Brothers reference and Dali was good friends with Harpo.
