While I don’t own a truck, I think I can relate to the first part of the sentence.
The guy who lives in the house the street from ours cuts his grass every 2-3 days – I’m not joking! I guess his lawn is immaculate. Sometimes I feel like throwing some acid on it! 🙂

My house is “lived in” and I have a pet, which means “fur.” I live with a smoker, so… There is vacuuming, dusting and mopping but, spotless? Never.
I get those that have sports cars and want them shiny, inside and out. I haven’t owned a sports car since the late 90s. I went from flashy, with vanity plates to functional trucks with jumper cables, blankets, first aid kit and water. Maturity changes perspective.
That sounds hard on the grass but, I’ve met some folks that must have a manicured lawn…or die trying. I’d rather have a giant pollinator garden and some veggies growing.

My dear mom used to clean the house every day to the point where we could have eaten anything that fell on the carpets or other floors. I think this “traumatized” me a little when it comes to cleaning – at least that’s my convenient excuse for not going crazy about it – everything in moderation except rock & roll!😆

Dude. You just described MY mother. My mother was such a neat freak that, I never even had to clean my room.
And, yes…you could literally eat off the floor with my mother’s cleaning. My dad would run around the house and put cigarette ashes in every ash tray, just to mess with her. And, you should have seen the inside of her closet…clothing, perfectly spaced…shoes, one shoe in the box and one, hanging out by the heel…
Rock & roll has no moderation! LOL!

I am tidy…to a point. I have clutter but, I am not nasty. Some dust may be in corners and my bed is rarely made…
We also have cat hair.
