FFTD: Prickly Beast

Posted on Updated on

These things are pretty to look at but, you don’t want to step on one of them, barefooted. I’m always reminded of the Return of the Jedi sand monster Sarlacc. ~Vic

That looks painful without touching it…much less stepping on it.

I was forever running into those things as a kid on my grandmother’s farm. Get your attention FAST…

I have stepped on them before…not fun…stepping on them and closing your arm on a sweat bee…two painful things about summer.

They were SOOOOO annoying. They are not in wasp territory but they damn well would hurt and piss you off at the same time.

Yeah! LOL! They would be all over me while I was helping my grandmother shuck corn or cut up peaches… Aggravating! 😖😠

So, THAT’S what it is called! Thank you for that.

I guess it’s an herb of some sort?

No a nasty weed. It’s also called Scotch Thistle. Terrible invasive creature.

          Good to know. Thank you.

These are real boogers to remove, their thorns would go right through my garden gloves. Wow, you made it down right pretty, Vic!

Thanks but, it wasn’t me. It smiled for the camera. See all the teeth? 😁😆

Those chompers bite for sure! I hated them as a kid too when I stepped on them.
