Some folks see a weed. I see two incredible flowers in the bright yellow blooms and the fuzzy seed ball. I also see delicious tea and tasty greens (good for the gallbladder). ~Vic

Since September of 2017 but I didn’t really get started until May of 2018….but no I haven’t posted it…you inspired it with your pic! I have it half written up now. I posted the A side last week with “We Love You” with Lennon and McCartney singing back up.

You have a better memory than I. I don’t remember our first exchange. ☺ It feels like we’ve always known each other. I certainly can’t imagine my life, now, without knowing you.
Hell, I don’t remember how I found Ron’s site. I know I spent a great deal of time using the phone app to find other blogs. You can’t do that, anymore. The WP Overlords removed the ability to see the other bloggers that like a post. Their icons used to be down at the bottom of a post.
They also removed “similar posts” suggestions down at the bottom, too. The more they tweak, the more it sux.

I tend to remember little things but cannot remember yesterday…Many people tell me that. I’ll be driving down the street people will wave…later on…why didn’t you wave at me? Because I was focused lol.
I know it seems like I’ve known you forever! It wouldn’t be the same with you….who else could I jump topics with? You like Weeping Willows? I do… See I just did it again lol. Everyone else would politely click like and never reply.
Hans found me first I believe…he posted a comment on my Decemember 8 post about Lennon. How do I remember this shit?
Like I said….I saw how he posted so I thought that is what you do. I used up a lot of songs at first lol…that is why it is harder now to find them.
WP yea…my stats are all crap because I’m getting spammed by bots and they won’t fix it.

I read so much about what is going on, globally, that it is shoving other things back in my head. It takes a specific trigger of some sort to bring a memory forward. And, in general terms, my memory isn’t as good as it used to be.
I’ve been accused of the same “focus” or “wearing blinders.” That focus is one of the reasons why we wound up in IT. My ex-Marine always told me I stayed “wrapped around the axle.” LOL! I had trouble with “big picture” stuff. Well…now I have become big picture and minutiae has fallen to the wayside. My focus has shifted…or I’m slowly losing my mind.
I love Weeping Willows. They are majestic and lovely. They are good for holding riverbanks up but, not good for planting near houses. Their root structures will get into sewer lines. Do you have one? I also love Wisteria. They can be invasive, too.
It’s all a matter of how our brains work.
I cut my teeth on the OLD WP back in 2009. BOY, have things changed. I don’t think they were using PHP back then. And, there was no “Reader.” You could “follow” but, you’d get emails and that was it. There was no “liking” posts or comments, either. You could comment and that would be the only way you knew a particular post was read by someone…that and blog-hit stats. Now, they want to act like FakeBook. I’m surprised they haven’t given us a spread of emojis instead of just clicking a star…because everyone wants to see a frowny-face on a comment you post. *eyes rolling*
I finally had to tweak my settings and make it so you couldn’t comment unless you were registered and signed in. That stopped ALL of my spam. I was getting pages and pages of bot hits.
Do you have WiFi in your house? Do you get decent cell service out your way?

I’m not getting spam as far as comments…It started in November…I was keeping track of my views carefully…I was up to 14 K a month…doing well…then it started…it went crazy to 30K and mostly from India…I chatted with WP and they didn’t even attempt to fix it…they said use Google’s counter…so they wanted me to use a band-aide and not fix the problem.
I’m going to try again to talk to them…so far they are 0-2…some people don’t show up in my reader…they just stopped and instead of fixing the problem…they say put a keyword in my reader to find them….NO…just fix the problem.
Yep the wearing blinders is me! I’ve heard the same things. It takes a lot to get my attention in real life. Jen and Bailey get pissed…Max…Max….yea yea…Ok lol.
I bought a Weeping Willow around 3 years ago…it’s named Willie… it’s still doing good but I have it away from the house…it’s not exactly growing fast.
I never ventured on WordPress until 2017.
I don’t listen to current news….ONLY old news…If I read about politics it’s about the Nixon era…and current globally…forget about it. I don’t want to know…I’ll only get pissed.
Yes we have Charter and because Jen works at home we get 200mb down here so yea we do…but my phone service is iffy…in the kitchen it’s bad in the living room it’s better. I don’t do a lot on the phone with WP though…only comment sometimes that is it…right now I’m on my laptop.

WP “happiness engineers” can’t fix anything. They have created a leviathan and it breaks all over the place. They can’t be bothered.
Yeah. Ken gets aggravated with me because I get focused on something and I can’t hear him or the stupid TV.
Willie Willow. Cute. They are slow growers.
I wish I didn’t read current news but, I’m such a curious cat and want to see signs in headings that this shit is coming to an end. Oh, my poor gallbladder, tho… I’m nursing it, again, due to some bad pastrami. I’ve gotten to where I can’t eat beef, anymore. I do the best with seafood.
I keep reading about how bad continuous WiFi is and the major push-back on 5G. We exist in radiation soup. I can’t help but wonder if it contributes to memory problems, digestive problems, my hair thinning…

The leaves are bitter greens and aid the gallbladder & digestion. The yellow flowers are edible. The root and leaves can be made into tea. Roasted root tea has a nutty flavor. It’s an herb, not a weed.
Hm, that’s something! I once had a garden in the backyard, but rather than eliminate the weeds, I was lazy and just let it overgrow… by the time I was moving out you better believe I was hastily cleaning the whole thing up.

fuzzy seed ball…heh…I have to remember that.
January 29, 2021 at 2:56 PM
OMG. The link actually showed up on my phone. 😳🤯
It is a fuzzy seed ball. Well, to me, it is.
I’ve never heard that Stones song. I wonder what prompted its writing.
Thanks!
