Wow, that’s just remarkable. Though that last scene with the ginormous bear looked a bit frightening to me, as gentle as the bear was. But just the bear’s weight and huge paws could have hurt the guy, even though the bear clearly didn’t intend to cause any harm.

I think when animals are young and encounter kind people, they imprint. The animals remember the people and are excited to see them, again, after separation. Have you noticed that, in the last 20+ years, animals seem to have gotten smarter?
