Good point. Unfortunately for the tree, the owner of the house only had a “Black Lives Matter” sign in the yard…no rainbow flag in sight. The poor tree was the wrong color and didn’t declare its pronouns. So, so sad…
And, the homeowner would no doubt lovingly accept said reparations on behalf of the now missing tree. “We keep its ashes in an urn on the mantle and pray to it every evening.”

Well, if someone had carved LGBTQEIEIO in it, then it would have been declared a national monument and been protected.

HA! Too funny! The tree was probably here for 150 years, so it is still entitled to $13,000,000 in reparations.

I love seeing where they leave the dead trees just to nature. We have one on the walk that it now completely covered in new life,

I like the dead trees, too. Another yard has a dead tree that is artistic, also. I can’t remember the name of the post!

It does indeed look a bit like some abstract sculpture!

I’m sorry the tree died, but the skeleton is really pretty cool.

Always love a good snag. I see a rabbit at the bottom in the tree abstract! 🙂
