Cool art…is that top picture a quilt? Probably not but it would be a cool one.

I’m not entirely sure what each square is made of…concrete panels, maybe? The art work is ceramics…tiles, bits of shells, plastic shiny beads, paint…done mosaic style. All the squares are glued to the wall, I would assume. My stepmother used to do something similar with concrete foot stones. The last thing she made for me was an octagon, concrete stepping stone with the USMC Bulldog on it, using bits of stained glass. It has been in the yard since I moved in with Ken in 2011.

I looked at it at first…I thought it was a quilt that was spread out.
It does look awesome though. I’ve seen people do it with old seventies tiles on patios and other things also.

It is a very artsy small town. There are some metal workers here, graffiti artists, mural painters, small rock painters (that show up in various spots all over town) and sidewalk chalk artists. It makes for a lot of interesting photography.
