Snapshots Sunday: New Mexico
This is somewhat of a companion piece to Walsenburg and Fort Sumner. These were shots taken after we left Fort Sumner and were on our way to Walsenburg. We passed by the Raton-Clayton volcanic field, which includes the Capulin Volcano National Monument. The Marine was in a hurry to head north and wasn’t interested in stopping for a volcano. ~Vic

No time for a volcano!?! I find if I keep asking to go to a particular place Linda usually relents to shut me up hehehe.. if that doesn’t work I try puppy eyes.

Puppy eyes would work on me. I don’t know that I am capable of my own “puppy eyes.” If I was good at that, I would have gotten more attention as a child.
The Marine just wasn’t interested in a dormant volcano and the Marine ruled.

I really enjoyed being in the desert last winter. Your photos reminded me of it today. 🙂

Wow, Momma! I wish we’d gone. There is so much to see in the US.
I remember thinking to myself in the van that it was weird that NM had a volcano.
