Yes. I have been gone for a while. I have been extremely busy with my significant other’s health issues…and my own. It is what it is. ~Vic
Back in 2020, I did a fifteen-day Christmas Countdown. Christmas 2021, I was busy with the Song Draft I was involved in from July to November. Plus, Christmas 2021 just sucked. Christmas 2022 wasn’t much better. I will do another “countdown” this year. Our small town likes to do gingerbread homes and scenes. Most of the time, kids are building these things but, some families work together. Some of these are impressive.

I hope the best for both of you on your health fronts. I must say I have never made any form of a gingerbread house (or pagoda) – assuredly a byproduct of growing up with two brothers. I have seen some amazing creations. I like the little rivets on this one.

Thanks, Brian. I have had my hands full. Surgeries, appts., stress, fear, digestion problems, anger…BILLS.
2020 was the year that the gingerbread contest started. Local businesses put each work in their store windows. 2021 & 2022 was sparse, if done at all, due to the convid scamdemic.
I have never tried to build a gingerbread house. I am not that talented. ππ
I feel for you Vic. All I can say is keep your head up, stay positive, don’t hesitate to reach out to others when help is needed and you’ll get through it.

The best year was the first. There was an actual monetary prize for best house. Now, it is just “a town celebration” thing. They are cute, nonetheless.
