I guess the beach doesn’t sound like a bad proposition, especially during the cold season of the day. Of course, I’m thinking of a nice beach in Puerto Rico or elsewhere in the Caribbean rather than lovely New Jersey! 🙂
That said, I’ve never been much of a beach person. After a few hours, I tend to get bored and want to do something else! 🙂

Last time…around two years ago…she was laid off…she had companies out bidding each other for her…this time nothing. She will have to start working outside the house if she can’t find anything soon.

I hear ya. I’ve been to Arizona, once…just over the state line at Hoover Dam from Nevada. My ex-Marine graduated high school in Boulder City, NV and as a teen, worked at the snack bar that sat on the state line.
Geez…that was way back in late 2000. We had flown to Las Vegas for a vacation and visited with his family.
Java Bean: “Ayyy, we have a beach less than four miles from here, and do we ever go there?”

Java Bean: “Correct! Of course they don’t actually allow dogs on the beach, but still …”

I grew up going to the beach with parents and paternal grandparents. I would not want to live there. Too many hurricanes.

Not sure you would want our beach currently. Being sandblasted by frozen sand isn’t a great feel.

Nope…interviews but nothing…everytime job she tries has like 5000 other applicants…after Christmas is when it opens up usually.

It’s a wasteland out there…and yes unemployment is down…because most of the jobs are low paying.
