I won’t be cooking a traditional turkey this year. I am going for a pork loin, just to be different. I will have a small gathering. Peace, love and hugs to everyone. May we all gather in joy. ~Vic
I never have to worry what to cook for Thanksgiving or to get to anyone’s place. We don’t celebrate it at my house. It’s not a thing in Germany where I grew up, and my wife doesn’t celebrate either. I still enjoy the holiday and the associated four-day weekend! ๐
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and hope your pork loin comes out the way you want it!

Yeah. This Thanksgiving thing is pretty much American…supposedly based on the colonists sharing a meal with the Natives. At least, that is what we are taught in American schools. ๐
The loin is tasty, as are the sides. I am REALLY looking forward to a slice of pumpkin pie! ๐๐๐ฅง

Thank you, dear. I have had to be reminded that Thanksgiving is strictly American. Bloggers in the UK & Germany & Canada are like “we don’t do that.” I wished an artist in Liverpool that and he said…all we have is a Harvest Festival. Um, oops? โบ๏ธ
Mmmm…pork loin! We did a pork loin for Christmas last year, along with a beef brisket. I’ve quit doing a whole turkey for holidays. This Thanksgiving I did a traditional oven-baked turkey breast, had the son-in-law do a smoked turkey breast, and son do a smoked beef brisket. We had plenty of meat! Enjoyed the Snoopy clip!!

We, too, have done a pork loin for Thanksgiving! Once we went out to an Indian Food Place!

Big turkeys are good for big gatherings. I tried Indian food, once, while living in Texas. My behind burned for two days. ๐คช๐ตโ๐ซ๐ณ๐๐ฅ

Indian food in Texas? Everyone knows the best place for Indian is Munich. ๐

There is a LOT of Indian food in Austin.
I would never have thought of Munich. England, yes.

Haha no I donโt celebrate it at all, but I know itโs a big deal for North Americans. We save all the feasting for Christmas ๐
