Snapshots Sunday: Old Car
Update: I found a couple more pictures…
These were taken in downtown Georgetown, Texas, the County Seat of Williamson County. About a month later, I left Texas and returned to NC. ~Vic

Flower Moon 2021
I’ve done two previous posts. I did the big write-up in 2019. The second post in 2020 had some older pix. My stupidphone still can’t get a clear moon shot but, it does make an artistic blur. Today’s Full Moon for EDT occurred at 7:13a but, tonight’s Moon rise was around 10:20p. Howl for me! ~Vic

Shutterbug Saturday: First Snow 2021
We don’t get the snow like we used to when I was a kid. I remember lots of snow and ice in the 70s. There were some decent snows in the middle 80s. There was one big snowstorm in early 1996 and that was the last one I saw until the two snow bombs in 2018. I spent nearly a decade in Texas and, I saw one small snow covering and two minor ice storms. That was it.
Here is our first snow of 2021. Colorado has gotten some, too. ~Vic

Christmas Countdown 15.0
This is my last countdown post. I’ve saved my favorite gingerbread house for last. I’ve been inside this place and you can feel its history. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures when I was there. Before the world went insane, Ayr Mount would host Scottish Festivals. ~Vic

I did a write-up on the Colonial Inn back in May. This historic building has come a long way. It is, now, finally open for business after being vacant and crumbling for nearly 20 years. I wish them luck. ~Vic

Welcome to the Winter Solstice. ~Vic
From Why Christmas:
The evergreen Fir Tree has traditionally been used to celebrate winter festivals (Pagan and Christian) for thousands of years. Pagans used branches of it to decorate their homes during the winter solstice, as it made them think of the spring to come. The Romans used Fir Trees to decorate their temples at the festival of Saturnalia. Christians use it as a sign of everlasting life with God.

Another Gingerbread House submission. I walk past this house every day. It’s nice to see these historical homes being restored. We had another house jacked up on on stilts 18 months ago while the foundation was repaired. ~Vic
